We all know that there are keys to success, but there are also keys to blogging and making it work for you not you for it. After you have figured the keys and begin using them on your blog it will make blogging a lot easier and take up less time.

Keep in mind that it’s a good idea to spend time visiting, reading and commenting on other blogs, it helps build the blogging relationship which develops a stronger readership on your blog. They realize that they are important to them if you go to theirs, this gains trust and friendship between you and your costumer.

What are the keys to set up a successful blog?

1. When writing your posts use original content. You may also share your thoughts on various products, sites or services. Just make them be your own words. Share with them how important that they are and letting them know about your customer service practices. Be open to comments and let your visitors know how to get in contact with you. This builds trust, something that can make your business succeed.

2. Posting at least 3 times a week helps your readers have new content to read. These posts do not have to be overly long or to detailed short posts are fine as long as it has value to your blog and visitors.

3. Add links to sites that are useful to your visitors. This step is a good thing to use often it helps build traffic. A couple ideas you could take a few minutes and look up your keywords to find sites that are relevant to your post or site, or if your readers blog about similar topics quote a post, it helps them to realize that you find them important and are there for their needs. This also helps other readers know about the similar content. Often if you do it for others, others do it for you.

4. Know who is visiting your site. There are counters that you can set up on your blog to see who is reading your posts. Sites like MyblogLog and BlogCatalog help keep track of these. Something else these sites do is provide links to the visitors profile which helps you find your visitors if they haven’t commented.

5. Check on your product and services links, see if everything is working correctly this helps getting error pages or to a page that has nothing to do with your business and can lead to a click out of your blog.

6. This is a simple one but remember to add links to and from your main site to your blog. It is a good idea to have your blog and business a different site. The use of a subdomain is also a good idea for those who want everything at home domain.

7. Try mixing your blog with your business talk but also some about you what you’re up to other things you’re doing. This helps build that relationship with your readers that you are human.

8. Remember that yes some blogs take off from the start others get off to a slow start. Just keep updating and posting. Spread the word about your blog, Visit similar blogs and comment with your URL and it will happen.

Try to keep in mind that blogging is important for your business and should be kept on the front burner. After you get the hang of it blogging is helpful tool plus its fun.

I am always looking for more tips to help my blogs be successful so share yours.
