Here in Eastern Washington the students got an extended Christmas break. Three extra days because of the amount of snow we got in the last 3 weeks. We got over 6 feet in that 3 weeks. Hit with snow storm after snow storm no one was really able to keep up. This area was breaking records left and right, it was nuts.
Well we finally got break a couple of days ago, so the streets, sidewalks and roofs finally got cleared so they can go back at least at our school district today.
Now don’t get me wrong I Love each and every one of my children. However, being stuck in the house with all four of them not being able to go anywhere because of the snow. I don’t feel safe in a car right now because of the roads it has made it totally hard on all of us, cabin fever has sunk in during week one of Christmas break. School was something each of us were looking forward to.
The weather people said it was going to rain last night it didn’t rain near as much as they said if it rained at all. Most of the snow is now melted, In the Front yard you can even see the grass in parts. It is suppose to be clear the next few days then another snow in one week, not sure you know how unpredictable the weather can really be. I hope the last of this snow will go finish melting before the next round hits we shall see at least the streets around here are clear and our drive way is.
Today as each of them got on the bus two were excited and one wasn’t overly excited, I hope they each have a great day. Learn lots and not to much home work. I know that they will have to make these last three days up when Im not sure of yet I know they have the days set aside somewhere during the school year so its ok.
Thank you for stopping by.

Oh I am so glad it is melting. I just pray it will not turn into ice when it gets cold. That is way to much snow for such a short time. What kid was not happy to go to school?
Hello Marie, good to see you, Well most if it around here the water is gone the cutter the snow is melted so the water is going down it. So thankfully around here it won’t get to icy and the roads to the mall weren’t floody, So I am hoping they aren’t towards the Dam for Ned’s drive.
Mr B is the one who was not happy about going to school. I haven’t got a call, so I am sure he is doing ok now that he is there.
Frankly (hope you won’t get mad at me), I love snow. Though I haven’t experienced having them at 6 feet high. Staying inside the house with 4 kids would drive me nuts, too; but it’ll be one of those unforgettable memories. I have 3 teenager kids myself and I still miss those years when they’re young and super dependent on me.

Nah Rose I won’t get mad
Last year it wasn’t as bad since it was a gradual thing this year it was just storm after storm which made it so bad. We did have a good time, I think the last couple of days the bickering made me forget that thanks for the reminder
Yes it is! Winter Break is over! Our son was not the happiest of campers when he had to wake up early on tuesday to go to school.
He’s already counting down to Spring break. lol
