The Real Thanksgiving
TamaraI know that this time of year everyone is thankful for one thing or another and that is great. Last night while talking to my mom we were discussing Thanksgiving and something a friend of hers said and it opened my eyes to what it really is.
He said that Every day is Thanksgiving, Every day when we are thankful for anything. I never thought of it this way before. However when you think about it when your praying or saying thank you to your higher power then you are celebrating your thanks for what ever your thankful for that day. It suprized me that I never thought of it this way before.
I think its one of those things that we tend to forget though and really be happy for each thankful moment we have. So I say the Real Thanksgiving is when your heart is filled with joy and thankfulness for whatever when ever it is. Since you are Giving thanks 
OK so thats my wondering of this morning. What is Your thoughts on Thanksgiving?

Great Post. I love Thanksgiving for the formal holiday and get together with family (in Canada it was last month), but you are totally right.
We do and should give thanks everyday of the year. I love to wake up early in the morning and just have some quiet time to be grateful and give thanks for all that I have. It is a very peaceful way to start the day

Tamara (Who am I?) Stefani I agree for alot of families this is the only time of the year that they get to spend together, especially those who are far from you.
Thanks Heather. I love the actual day as well it I do like the discussions we have talks about what and why we are thankful i guess that day opens up the conversations. but maybe having those every day it may help teach the kids that.
That is a wonderful way to start the day I know that the day goes better when I do.

I like to enjoy the day with family and have a nice meal. Most families don’t have the time to get together and have a nice meal together and this holiday gives them a reason too!
