Well Its Been One year, Yup Tamara-Wilson.com has been online for one year as of today. Time to Party. I can’t believe its been that long. I have learned in all areas of life, parenting, business and just about me with this blog and have met some great people through the blogging community.

It has been a roller coaster of a year, I had to take a few months off as I am sure you have noticed over the summer because of family issues but its OK now things are calm and we are back to normal again well as normal as life can be with 2 teens, a kindergartner and a preschooler in the house and DH working funky hours. But things are better now which is a huge relief I am more repaired for any of the hassles that may arise.

I want to thank everyone for your support through my blogging journey so far. I hope to get to know more bloggers and continue to get more active in the blogging community.

Launched a New Blog Moms A Gourmet

Well I have not been really posting much here but I havent gone anywhere. I Launched a new blog called Moms A Gourmet. Why? Well everyone says I have my own way of making gourmet food all fancy and things. Well I am just a normal mom who enjoy making good meals for her family. When there are those times I am on a limited budget I still want good tasting food. It is Possible to do I have learned little tips and tricks so I decided to share what I have learned with others.

I hope You come and see whats going on over there. Its going to be loaded with some fresh new recipes and ideas on making your meals special. I hope to see you there.

Supporting Moms At Mommyland

Not sure if you know this or not, I have a forum at Mommyland, It is more of a mom type forum, since most of the forums I was frequenting was work at home with a little parenting topics I decided to have one a little more the opposite. Topics cover various aspects of home life as well as parenting, some work at home but it is not the focus of the forum.

I spent a good amount of time today upgrading and and adding mods to the Mommyland Forum today. The software was due for an upgrade to a new better version which meant a few of the mods were not compatible so working through those and making some template changes. I also found some neat new features that vbulletin added with this new 3.7 gold upgrade. You can create groups or add comments on other members profile kinda like a mini networking site its kinda neat.

It came out about a week or so ago along with the WP 2.5.1 I waited until today to make the change since I wanted to wait for the wordpress vbulletin bridge to be upgraded for it. I was not expecting the extra work. However the extra work did help get me out of my slump and my want to get Mommyland active again.

Time To Celebrate Post 200

I first want to thank everyone for stopping by and supporting my blog. I truly appreciate it. I can not believe that this is post 200. Amazing how time flies when your having fun. Tamara-Wilson.com was born on Oct 29 2007 and here we are a little over 5 months later with a huge celebration. I have learned a ton about blogging since I have begun and I feel I have also improved a great deal during this time as well.

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite posts that have been made here.

Brainstorming to a Great Year

We are only a few days into the New Year and already I have done a lot of learning and [tag]brainstorming[/tag] to improve not only my business but my life and the children’s life as well. I do not like to talk about this much however; we have a stressful house here with two teens and two preschoolers. So, we end up with a lot of craziness, arguing, fighting and tons of sibling rivalry. So I tend to get [tag]stressed out[/tag] which in turn makes them stressed out.

A good friend of mine heard me asking for help without asking for help last night and we sat down and brainstormed new ways for them to express their energy in more productive ways. We also discussed ways to change the daily routines for myself and the children. We came up with a lot of ideas. This helped so much I actually felt refreshed and had hope for the [tag]family[/tag] something that was missing from me. Probably part of why these things were bothering me as much.

Just as I thought we were done she asked me about me, what was I going to take care of Tamara? Well I didn’t think about it so we started with various things that I could do just for me. I came up with a few ideas and plan on making the changes to get out of the house, sometimes with the children sometimes on my own, but getting out of the house is something that I need to do. This is something else I feel will help change my moods.

I learned something valuable during this chat. I learned that I am not a [tag]perfect mom[/tag] and it is OK. I can only do the best that I can and do what I am capable of doing more then I realize. Most importantly I learned that it is actually good to ask for help and [tag]brainstorm[/tag] things that are going on in your life both the good and the bad. All you need is a friend who is willing to sit with you and help you get these things out in the open.

I truly hope each and every one of you have that friend that you are able bounce ideas off of and your able to be the real you, All too often we as moms put on a face that everything is perfect and we can handle it all. Please don’t be afraid to ask for help you deserve the best and sometimes we need help so we can be our best.

Beginning to Focus, Purging Domains

After a brain dump and some heart searching. I have decided to sell most of my domain names. Because I honestly feel that I do not have the time for all of them so I am selling them, So I can stay focused on what will help me move forward in my business. I am kind of following Kelly from WAHMs Talk Radio. The last two episodes have been an eye opener for me and helped me realize that I need to sit down and focus on less projects, and having all these sites I tend to want to go and work on this and then work on that. So for me right now they are perhaps holding me back from what I should be working on. Does this mean I am selling them all? No, I am simply taking some of the weight off of my shoulders and work on the sites that I feel I can make the most out of.

A lot have sites or wordpress and some have some traffic on them right now, however I am moving servers in the next few days and they are not going to be move. I am open to all offers you never know unless you ask.
