Around the internet lately I have come across many work at home moms helping their children create their own businesses. I think it is amazing what some of the ideas that children are able to come up with. A lot of times their ideas may blow our minds, my son has these amazing ideas on how to start and market a business. He has yet wanted to actually start. I have been letting him think and dream but after reading some of these success stories I am thinking that now is the time to start pushing them.
I found Show Kids The Money this site has a lot of great ideas and ways for kids to start their own business. There is a list of Business Tools that will help get their business started.
Another really inspirational site I found was Kids in Biz this site spotlights different ideas for children to start a business but it also shares success stories of kids and their businesses.
If you have a child who is wanting to start a business or has ideas about business its never to early to start encouraging them to get going. I think this also helps them as they get older they are learning responsibility, time management and so much more.

I can’t even begin to say how much your kids can learn, even if it’s a tiny business venture. Even something like selling a gentle-used toy or video game on eBay can be a teaching opportunity. Writing the ad, taking a picture, doing the math to see if the transaction will be profitable. It’s never too young to start teaching these lessons.

My 6 year old really wants to have his own website. He’s an excellent reader, but he definitely needs to work on his typing skills. I tell him to practice and soon, soon, soon.

I’ve thought this was a good idea ever since I was 7. I lived in the city and sold tons of produce, to my neighbors, from my grandpas garden. He even built a little stand for me, in my front yard. Those were the days!

What a great idea. My kids are always looking for ways to earn money and I would of never thought there was a website for kids starting their own business. My wife and I work from home so I think this is a really great idea to get your kids thinking like entrepreneurs while they are still young and not easily discouraged.
