While at the mall the other day I was just walking around looking for a book. And right there in the middle of the mall who do I see Santa the picture taking booth all set up and OPEN. I was floored I mean I love the fact that Santa is at the mall but isn’t Early November a little to early?.
I spoke with a lady in one of the stores and she was just as shocked. She said that they didn’t even have any type of event like usual just one day he was there. What happened to the Big party on the day after Thanksgiving at about noon when Santa comes down the mall and its a Big deal. I do understand Santa may need a little extra money this year with toy supplies being a little more expensive but this is just way odd to me. At first I thought alright new area and they do things differently in different parts of the country I can handle that but even people who have lived and worked in the area for a while being shocked by it all.
I am really starting to believe that the works is just getting to nuts with this season, and for me its taking part of that magic that comes with Christmas. I am just really bummed about this.
Is this happening everywhere or just here? Has [tag]Santa[/tag] appeared in the malls near you?
Santa was at the plaza that we checked out today o.O Josh and I agreed that after Thanksgiving is fine, XD, so we have plenty of time for copies for Christmas cards, but the weekend before Thanksgiving? Way too early.
Thanks for stopping by It is good to know that I am not the only one who feels this way. I was OK with the aisles order being Halloween and then Christmas starting before Halloween I wasn’t to comfortable with it but Oh okey thats fine. But yea This is totally drawing the line. There should be someone we can contact ya know maybe the official Santa is out to early hotline or something. lol
I have to agree with you. It is crazy. I loved taking my
kids to see Santa. It was free to have a pic taken
with good old St. Nick when my kids were small.
Now it cost a arm and a leg to have your pic taken. And
the lines are crazy. I liked last year when we took the
grands to Home Depot and no line, the pics were free,
and they took as many as we wanted. I LOVED the one
with me, my daughter, and granddaughter with Santa.
I know what you mean about the prices the least expensive pack was 24.95 and you could add on but not get say just a 5X7 or something Its crazy. I am thinking maybe we should get someone to be Santas Helper with those prices we could be rich
The prices are getting to expensive, ridiculously so. We buy a 5×7, bring it home, scan it in, and set up a Photoshop auto-thing, and print out our own package, XD, for family and friends. Works for me (we did the same with Easter Bunny pics).
Thats a good idea. I know the printer h as a scanner but I am not sure how to use it I guess now is as good of a time as any. Part of me was glad the little two were a little afraid. I guess a good thing its an extra two weeks for them to get use to the idea of Santa before Christmas and hopefully get cute pictures.
