As a work at home mom I often think about health care for myself and kids in case something happens to my hsuband and he isn’t able to provide it for us. I am starting to research the different options. I came across the site for Advantage Health care a site they have a special section for Small Business Insurance Help I got a lot of information from. It helped me remember tips like to research all options from various carriers, as well as the reputation and stability of the company. I guess I didn’t think about all the research that should be done its always been this is your only option.

Then I found the page on Small Business Health Coverage Benefits and noticed that they are discussing the different types of plans that are out there but mainly for those with employees which most of us WAHMs don’t have. So for me unless my businesses get big I do not think I will need to worry about it. One thing I did find useful on my healthcare hunt is that HMOs are usually less expensive so maybe being on the look out for that may help if ever needed.

One thing I do tend to get worried about is Hospitalization Rates I know that these can get expensive. This page explains how the Catastrophic health insurance insurance works and how its beneficial to our family only down side that isnt really a problem for us right now is that it generally does not cover preexisting conditions. I don’t know what to think about all of this insurance stuff but what can I say its never to late to start thinking about it.
