fitness-friday-button-new

Well this week I kinda fell off the wagon so to speak, I was so sick with this head cold and crazy migraine working out was the furthest thing from my head I rested most of the week. I did work out a few times just not every day. I felt as if my head was going to explode so my regular routine was not what I have been doing normally.

My Normal routine is Yoga Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Strength training Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday then Sundays taking it easy doing what ever. After those are done the Step and/or the Hula Hoop Or do those when the stress in the house got high to help work out the tension from my body rather then grab a brownie.

This week when I did hop on there its been the Step and a few yoga things hoping it would relax me enough to help with the migraine however the sinus stuff made it hard to even do those. So I did try really hard. I hope this leaves really soon so I can get back on track.

One thing I have noticed is my mind is filled with doubt this week, with saying like ‘This whole weight loss thing is a joke’, ‘I’ll never really get fit’, and ‘why am I wasting my time trying I’m just laying in bed’ then it dawned (again) how powerful self talk/thoughts really are.  And how those ghosts from the past can creep in to life of today. So after a day of this and actually started really doubting things I decided NO it is Worth it. And when I was resting and the thoughts would creep in I would say out loud. ‘I am resting because I am currently sick, I WILL get fit and healthy’ or ‘My resting is Not a forever thing this cold will go away and I will get back on track’

I realize that these thoughts will probably return again and again. I know I will have to stay strong and keep motivated to get to where I want to be. I was told it is not going to be easy and it will take time to get to my goal and to take it slow.

If your trying to get healthy, exercise more, or well I guess any goal you have, Yes there will be times when you or your body needs to take a break from the routine of things. Do it, don’t push yourself if your sick you will get better faster. When you are better at that point get back to business. You CAN do this.  There will be times you take a few steps back, don’t let that stop you from going forward, and above all don’t let the negative thoughts send to much doubt. Speak out loud that You Can and Will get where you want to go.

Thank you for stopping by

  2. You are absolutely right…and so well put! Self doubt is what gets us all I think…uh…I just had a bunch as I snarfed another piece of my son’s birthday cake *sigh*

Bit by bit…we are doing it, right? We are doing more than we were…which is fabulous as far as I’m concerned.

I like the way you gave the suggetion of being fit by doing regular excercise.. To be a healthy person you stronlgly need – first, good diet and second a routine of well disciplined excercise and last but not least proper sleep..

I think my hardest thing is the sleep part. I have this darn insomnia which is driving me nuts. Then having a snorer makes it that much harder. I am working on getting more consistent sleep though. thanks for that reminder.

Yea my cold is gone for the most part however the migraine is lingering longer then normal. I think it may have something to do with the pollutants in the air around here. With the low clouds they can’t go anywhere but stick around. Its suppose to be windy today to knock the clouds out which should help with that.

    Thanks :)

Come see my Wii Fit calendar of how much I’ve worked this month. When I started, my jeans were tight & now I have to wear a belt with them. It really doesn’t take much!

    I usually do 30 mins a day.

That is true, “how powerful self talk/thoughts really are”

Watch what you are saying, train yourself to say utter right words.

Never ever allow yourself to be negative.

As long as there is a timetable or a schedule to follow then you can prepare for it mentally or physically. That’s the best way to go on about exercising.
