Ok So this is a day late I got busy yesterday.

Last year I decided I wanted to loose weight I never really said it or added it to my road map since it was once of those things that in the back of my mind it could never really happen. I keep hearing and reading that people never really keep it of and putting it out there made it more real and when I didn’t loose it or keep it off then the judging would begin. I do know that this is a insecurity that I have and the only real judging is in my head. The reason I am putting this out there for the world to know now.

This year I am going to loose weight My Main goal is to hit 170 which from my weight today is another 30lbs.

Last year I was very Fluffy. I decided to change the way I was eating I started slowly cutting out chocolate and my soda intake (which I actually did add to my road map) I increased the veggie and fresh fruits, ate out less and when I did tried to choose healtheir things.  I didn’t completely cut out my Bacon Cheese burgers figuring if I ate the healtheir other meals it was ok. Stoped super sizing cut back on carbs. I gradulally made these changes kinda prepping my self and my body when I was ready to really focus on a diet my mind and body wouldn’t go in to shock from the ‘good’ food withdrawl.

I didn’t really start exercizing until I got the Wii Fit which was in Nov. I started having a ton of fun I do it just about every day. I do take a day off here or there when I am doing other things or just to ‘blah’ to worry about it.

Last night DH called and asked If I wanted to go out to dinner, I said sure went and changed for some reason I pulled out pants that I have NOT wore since we first started dating (8 years ago) and they fit. Well actually a touch to big, even after I got full.  I am so excited. I was a size 24w-26w (even 28w in a certain style) was the biggest size I wore in our marriage. When I first started with the Wii Fit it was a 18 -20(some w some with out depending on the cut) Today I can wear a 16 with out the W. I tried on a few other pairs of pants from the same time period that I had stored away and they all fit so its not just those pants.

Right now I am really focusing on Eating less fat in my foods, I have cut even more down on sodas, choclate and chips only come out when my ‘visitor’ is here. (at least so far but I am hoping to find alternitives as she visits the rest of the year that is my weekness though) I have found some yummy fitness ‘diet’ snacks that I am trying. I am doing at least 15 minutes a day on the Wii Fit and going to do everything I can to hit my goal before the end of the year.

Take it 5 lbs at a time & it’s much easier to do. Or look at it as every 10 lbs lost is another pants size.

I lost 25 lbs with Weight Watchers & am still working on another 25 now.

Thanks so much Betty. Whats funny is I get to a mini goal. I want to celebrate with a bowl of ice cream or fresh baked brownies LOL. I know so not a good choice but hey I also figure if I work it off it should be ok right?!?

  4. Tamara Wilson says:

That’s a good way to look at it thanks. Right now my goal is 10lbs every two months. It is also to stay healthy So if it means making sure I get the enough of the right foods and things in my body that is most important for me. I think focusing on that and working out (or at least getting active) is most important goals for me the weight loss and pant size is a bonus since it naturally comes with it. If that makes sense.

  5. Whew! I panicked when I saw this thinking I missed it somehow-glad you said you wrote it late lol!

Fluffy. I like that. My friend calls her belly her ‘flabdomen’. The things us women say crack me up.

We’re so glad to have you with us. Together, we’ll achieve our fitness goals!

  6. Health Care says:

we also need to think that fitness programs are done not only for us to feel good outside but also to feel healthy inside. that’s what matter most in this move and glad you have started it already.

  7. Losing weight is the hardest project I’ve ever give to myself. But with much discipline and perseverance I’m on my halfway to my goal. I lost 7lbs of my 15lbs target. Exercise and proper diet is still the best way to shed the extra pounds.

  8. I have the same goals. 30lbs is about 15kg right ? I am already -2kg so it’s going good for now. I have even bought new nice looking scale to motivate myself:)

Sometimes i think should glue my mouth, there are so many wonderful things to eat, but i am choosing those that have more calories. Why is it so with me? ouch and auch!

  10. Tamara Wilson says:

Thanks so much Julie. Yea I was last I realized when I was crawling in to bed I forgot, I was working on the post in my head all day then got busy and never sat down to get to it LOL.

My son (who is now 14) use to say mom your tummy is fluffier then my pillow can I sleep here. So the term kinda stuck. I should have known then to start making it not so fluffy.

Its great to be a part of such a great group of ladies :)

  11. Tamara Wilson says:

That makes sense. I have noticed that I feel better not only physically but also emotionally when I am working out daily.

  12. Tamara Wilson says:

Congrats on getting half way to your goal. I agree it does take a lot of discipline and perseverance.

  13. Tamara Wilson says:

It’s a little less then 15 but close enough. Good Luck. Just keep your goals small you CAN do it :)

I was thinking about this last night, I totally wanted to run to Dairy Queen for a hot fudge Sunday. Its not only you that prefers the snacks/foods with more calories I think sometimes they are more flavorful just to drive us nuts in our journeys to get thinner.

  15. What an incredible feeling to put on those pants and feel them a little bit loose…ahhhh. You can bet that when I can slide into my next size down the WORLD is going to hear about it! LOL

You will find what works for you! How about rewarding yourself with brownies OR ice cream LOL (I’ll come over and eat the other!) … we have to break the cycle of rewarding or punishing ourselves with food….or we will never be able to maintain our accomplishment!

  16. Rosie Peters says:

Great effort Tamara. Can I suggest you work on reprogramming your reward system? Food as reward is always going to work against your goals and cause grief. The more sugar and fat we eat, the more we want to eat. It’s just a nasty habit that needs breaking.
People who knew me when I was 15kg (30lbs) heavier can not believe that I have reprogrammed my brain re food. Now food as comfort is a faded memory. Food is body fuel and to get the best body we have to keep putting in the best food. Don’t go to dairy queen!!! Distract yourself – you’ll feel much better at the end of the day.

  17. wii fit says:

thant’s nice you rae on your way and I hope you will come to your goal very soon. I am also sweating out on wii fit since last two months and I lost 7lbs. I spend 20-30 minutes.

  18. Tamara Wilson says:

Thanks so much Jenn :) it was amazing. I can’t wait to hear when you put those pants on :) I am breaking the cycle well at least trying LOL. Yesterday I was so not doing what I was suppose too. Gotta work out harder today LOL

  19. Tamara Wilson says:

Thanks so much Rosie. I am working on reprogramming my reward system. As much as I want to hit an ice cream shop or something. I did reward myself with some quiet time at the mall window shopping. I figure as long as I don’t act on the ‘wants’ I should be ok. and If I do go for ice cream a small one. :) Since I haven’t completely cut out all sweets/junk food just enjoy them in moderation, Just NOT as a reward or when I am bored.

  20. Sarah says:

if you have enough will you can do whatever you want ;) I hope you will succeed :)

  21. Congrats for passing your half path and best of luck for the next milestone.

  23. Detox Diet says:

Great job. You’ve managed to accomplish something that others haven’t done. That’s a remarkable progress. Remember that fitness is not just about losing weight. It’s also about turning your life around. That said, getting the right outlook towards your progress is much more important and will keep you on the right track. The right attitude and goals towards fitness is more important than getting fast results.

  24. I used to really struggle with my weight – I was doing all the wrong things and listening to everything the “so-called” experts said. Finally I found something that worked for me and I just modified things from there – individuality can never be understated.

  25. Ya I was surprised myself at well the wii fit does really motivate you to get in shape and start exercising. i know our family really enjoys it especially those yoga poses man those are tuff

  26. I think it’s very hard to lose weight. I’ve lost about 5kg in a month now. But I don’t know if its fat or mostly water =). However, I have noticed that being consitent is the big secret.
